Cameron

Last night with Frankie was incredible. We didn’t even have sex and it was the most erotic and intense sexual experiences of my life. I knew whatever it is that we have together has changed me. There is no way that I’m going to lose her, lose what we have.

She’d woken in the night with soft whimpers, clearly some sort of nightmare. I held her tighter and stroked her hair as she settled down, I gently kissed her shoulders and neck, unsure if I was comforting and reassuring her or me.

I decide to leave her sleeping in bed this morning. As I pull on my gym clothes, I glance at her, she’s laid on her back with her naked body exposed apart from her panties. My eyes dart to her stomach and in particular the tattoo with the name Nate. It leaves a bitterness inside me when I see it, I clench my fists at my side in frustration.

Was she still in contact with him? How could she be happy to have his name tattooed on her, for all to see? Did she still love him? I shake off the thoughts and decide to unleash all the uncertainty and insecurity in the gym.

My mom is in the kitchen as I approach. Soon I realize she isn’t alone, she’s blending a smoothie with a very hungover Joel draped over the worktop, barely propped up on the barstool. I inwardly chuckle to myself.

“Good morning, Joel!” I sing-song.

Joel’s head slowly rises, and he throws me a death glare. “Why the hell are you so happy?”

I grin back at him, no doubt looking like a complete loon. “Guess I didn’t have as much to drink as you huh?” I shrug.

My mom breaks off our conversation, “I’m out today, shopping and then dinner with the Harrises. Your father has asked for you to keep an eye on Frankie.” She looks at me pointedly.

I can’t hide my smile. “No problem, Mom.” I nod, like the good boy.

As she leaves the kitchen and her heels click away, Joel watches me with intensity. He groans, “Oh my fucking god, you fucked her, didn’t you?” His eyes are wide with intrigue.

I can’t help but laugh. “Actually no, I didn’t.” I smother a smile.

His eyes narrow on me as he tries to figure out what has gone down between us.

“She blow you?”

I grin and shake my head at him. “Nope.”

“Then what the fuck she do?” His eyes bore into mine, desperation in his voice for the juicy gossip.

I shrug, not prepared to give anything away. Probably for the first time in my life I want to remain private and not share what I have with anyone else. She’s mine and I’m not about to fuck that up.

I grab a shake, and move down the hall to the gym, with Joel hot on my heels.

“You’re really not going to tell me anything?”

“Nope!”

“Fuck man, that’s so fucked up. I need to live through you if I’m not going to get some from her.
